Hard Shine is LIVE this Sunday Sept 1st at the 18th annual Berryhood Summer Block Party Extravaganza!!! It's good old fashion family fun in the sun with Hard Shine providing 2 hours of hip shakin', foot tappin' hot blues. Downbeat is at 1pm and we play until 3pm. But get there early to enjoy all the kid friendly events (full schedule below). They'll have music, food, drinks, games, an egg toss, a water slide, and 2 water balloon fights featuring "way too many" water balloons. We're not kidding, over a thousand water balloons. The neighborhood spends the week before filling them for the event. There is a cover, but it's a very reasonable $5 bucks. The block is closed off and only accessible by foot . . . the neighborhood blocks off Berryman at Herbert Street for the event so the address listed gets you close . . . you can park on Herbert, or as close as you can . . . look for the barricades and the crowd . . . you'll see a table set up for the $5 entry free. Here's the schedule for the day; 10:30AM Egg toss contest 11AM Water balloon fight x2! (Younger kids will kick things off-then the older kids) 12PM Bring out potluck items to tents for lunch Screened food tents provided for potluck items, along with plates, utensils, napkins & water 1-3PM Live music - HARD SHINE 2-4PM Glitter tattoos (Location TBC) 1:30PM Galactic Super Soaker Grab Bean Bag Toss with Lisa (North end of Berryman) 2PM Spin Art with Nicki (mid Berryman) 3PM Cupcake decorating by Jan (South end of Berryman) 4PM Sand Art with Lisa (North end of Berryman) 5:30PM Magic show by Howard (mid Berryman) 6:30PM Clean-up! 7:30PM Movie Yogi Bear Life’s a Pic-a-nic!
