Hard Shine

Hard Shine is a Los Angeles based Blues and Jazz- Infused, action-packed, female-fronted quartet bringing modern sensibilities to the vintage sounds of rockabilly, swing and rock and roll. Hard Shine emphasizes our original music as well as honoring the history of the genre with some thoughtful covers.

A Hard Shine show is a good time for everyone. We aim to have as much fun as our audience. You wanna dance? Hard Shine’s got you covered. Watching is your thing? All good. You just wanna listen and tap your foot? We got that too! 

Over the years we’ve had the opportunity to play some great venues. We’ve stayed local for much of our journey together as each of us had responsibilities that made travel difficult. 

Now we are gearing up for a shift! We’re all ready to open up the “playing field “ and stretch our wings. It’s fun for us to reminisce about our years together and all the changes we’ve gone through and now we’re beyond excited about the next chapter!

We’re currently working on our 4th album and growing and stretching. We’re so excited about all of the new material and community we are developing.

Hard Shine has opened for Ozomatli, graced the main stage for Topanga Days, and played classic LA Venues such as The Viper Room, Harvelle’s, Irelands 32 and universal Bar and Grille as well as some new LA staples such as Street Food Cinema, the ARC benefit and Radio Venice. Currently we are expanding our footprint venturing out of Los Angeles to Long Beach. We love playing at Secret Island and The Pike. We also got the opportunity to do little mini tours to places like Nashville, Big Bear, Ojai and Northern California.
